Only legal eggs to be served at Olympic Games
//05 Apr 2012
The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games has announced that only eggs from legal housing systems will be served at Olympic Games venues.
This discussion follows representations made by the British Egg Industry Council and the National Farmers Union that all eggs served bear the British Lion logo. This symbol certifies compliance with an established SE quality assurance program and that eggs are derived from flocks conforming to EU housing directives mandating either non-confined systems or enriched colony cages.
